From my studio in Vancouver, BC, I create a range of uniquely crafted sculpture and furniture collections where each piece holds a story to be told; some personal to myself or the client and some that arise from my interests in science, culture, nature, spirituality, or anything in between.
Ahora, a kinetic sculpture that by perpetually drawing and erasing a circle it captures you in the meditative state of being in the present moment.
Design Healing Workshops
From an adaptation of a personal self-help therapy tool that I’ve practiced throughout my life and design career, I have created a Design Healing Workshop that guides participants through a healing journey to help express deeper feelings connected to unhealthy emotional and physical states. Firstly, a carefully crafted guided meditation and mind-map uncover and analyze what needs to be expressed. Alongside an array of tools and materials provided, and with forest elements gathered on a meditative nature walk each participant design and creates their own sculpture filled with meaning. Participants universally feel lighter and more resilient after this process, and usually hang in their homes this symbolic memento of their inner work.

Gaia’s Womb
Geodes form when hot gas bubbles emerge from the depths of Earth’s mantle. As magma cools, it solidifies as an empty shell of igneous rock. Over time, different minerals will flow inside and form a crust of crystal formations on its inner surface.
This magnificent geode is a display of how minerals play an essential role in the genesis and existence of life, and thanks to Earth’s vast mineral richness, we exist today.
Gaia’s Womb is meant to celebrate our original compassionate creator, and to respect, nurture, and cradle our earth and all the miraculous life it holds.

About German Aguirre
German has always been called to nature, born and raised surfing the coasts of Peru, and working as a guide through the Amazon rivers and trails. His thirst for exploration led him to travel extensively, exposing him to many cultures and living in more than a dozen cities thus far.
